Meet the Team

Ethan Strand

A Gillette-native, Ethan founded Strand's Lawn Care as it is today in 2014. He grew up helping his father mowing lawns since about age 5 as part of the original Strand's Lawn Care. As a teenager, he spent a year on a farm in eastern South Dakota and still goes back during harvest time to this day. He enjoys spending what little free time he has in the Black Hills, the St. Anthony Dunes, and hanging out at Ice Cream Café. Ethan is a certified pesticide applicator, has extensive knowledge in the lawn, tree, and landscape industry, and continues education through various conferences and seminars.

Tim Vogt

Tim is the newest member of Strand's Lawn Care, coming to us at the beginning of 2022. Hailing from Michigan, he moved to Gillette in 2007 and quickly fell in love with Wyoming. He worked a number of his younger years as a seasonal landscaper, including irrigation repair/install, lawn maintenance, and property clean-up. Tim likes to consider himself a handyman, having remodeled a number of homes, building furniture in his shop, and successfully hanging a picture on the wall. He considers his greatest landscaping achievement to be an HGTV-esque backyard at his house that included a large deck, built-in fireplace with waterfalls, and an outdoor kitchen.

Andria Washburn

Andria will most likely be the first person you meet at Strand's Lawn Care. She comes to us after leaving a position as an Operations Manager of a construction and home maintenance company which provided services to seniors to allow them to stay in their own homes, maintenance free. To us, she is a Jill of all trades - serving as our HR Manager, Office Manager, dispatcher, secretary, and bookkeeper, just to name a few! She holds degrees in Business Management and Psychology.

Born and raised outside Cheyenne, Bill served in the US Army, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. He was an integral part of liberating Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm. After his military service, he took up welding, is a certified heavy equipment operator, and works in the mechanical field. Bill serves mainly as our equipment and fleet manager, but also fills in where needed. He is certified in small engine repair from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne. He's an all-around Cowboy!
